The University Computing and Information Services Center provides academic and administrative computing services for the University of Ruse. These services include managing and operating the central computing and networking systems owned by the University and providing leadership in the innovative application of information technology in higher education.
The structure of CICS includes:
• Information and communication technologies. The activity of the department is related to the maintenance and development of the network infrastructure and the services in it. It employs highly qualified specialists (system administrators, application and web programmers) who are constantly improving their knowledge and qualifications.
• Computer systems and telecommunication networks. Provides technical support for computer peripherals, network hardware and software, telephone exchange. Specialists working in the department can offer professional advice on the selection and evaluation of computer equipment when purchasing for the various structural units of the university.
• Relationship with users. IT specialists provide system support and solve current problems for users of the local university network. The department operates an interactive system for registering issues and for user feedback.

• Information Services. CICS is directly subordinate to the Rector of the University of Ruse, it is led by a Director who participates in the meetings of the Rector's Council.
